ANNOUNCEMENT! We are pleased to introduce two new Foundation Board of Directors members; Diane Fischer and Stephanie Laitala.
Fischer is the Vice President of Cash Management for Highland Bank. In 2009, Fischer received the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Luminary Award, which recognizes a respected woman business owner who lights the way for others through mentoring and/or volunteering in the community.
Laitala is the President and Owner of Owl Bookkeeping and CFO Services. Among her many credits Laitala was honored as a 2010 "Minnesotan on the Move" by Finance and Commerce and 2010 "Women to Watch" by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.  We look forward to the leadership that Fischer and Laitala can provide to our mission to help under-served women and their families touched by breast cancer. |

6th Annual Putt for the Pink Charity Golf Event a Success Despite the rain!
It was a great day of golf, friends and fun with the added benefit of contributing to the Hope Chest Foundation. Thanks to Robyne Robinson for being our emcee extrodinaire and providing a ray of sunshine throughout the event. Special thanks to our Tournament Sponsors, Janel & Brian Goff and to all our great sponsors, golfers, clinic and party attendees for making the day and evening so enjoyable. Thanks also to all of our committee members and volunteers for making this event so special. Be sure and join us next year!

Summer is here! And so are some sizzling deals at The Hope Chest stores! For your 4th of July, we have swimwear, patriotic apparel, and all the home décor and outdoor furniture you'll need! Be sure to become a fan of our Facebook Page, too, for up-to-the minute news and pictures of new arrivals. Take advantage of our Senior Tuesdays (25% off reg. prices purchases for age 60 and over), and our new Young Adult Wednesdays (age 16-30 25% off reg. price). Thank you to all of the people who held fundraising events on our behalf and at our stores- it helps bring awareness and exposure to our stores and our mission! For the summer, we are open until 8pm on Thursday evenings in Orono so make sure to stop by after work. About Hope Chest:
Our mission at Hope Chest for Breast Cancer® is to help underserved women and their families touched by breast cancer.
How do we raise funds?
Through the sale of donated, upscale furniture, accessories, and high-end women's clothing at our Retail Stores; through our Foundation fundraising events and programs; and through financial donations.
How do we help?
Emergency Funds that provide rent, utilities, transportation, etc., to underserved women who are unable to work due to the side effects of breast cancer treatment; Delivered Nutritional Meals for underserved women and their families during breast cancer treatment; and Early Detection Education and Screening for underserved women with a focus on diverse populations.
Our founder, Barbara Hensley, survives two sisters who lost their battle with breast cancer. In 2001, Barbara resigned her corporate executive position and founded the Hope Chest for Breast Cancer where she drives our commitment to make a difference.
Currently there are 2 retail stores of donated merchandise in the Twin Cities located at:
3850 Shoreline Drive in the Orono/Navarre area (952-471-8700) and 571 Snelling N. (651-642-2850) in St. Paul.
Store Hours: Monday-Saturday 10 -6; Sunday: 11:30 to 5. (Orono now open till 8 pm Thurs & opens 11 am Sunday)
The stores are registered with the State of Minnesota as professional fundraisers.
